Compensation to the family members of Martyrs

               Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi K Palaniswami presented an ex-gratia compensation of Rs 25 lakh to the family members of two martyrs from Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple Fire Station, FM9384 P.Krishnamoorthy (2013 Batch) and FM8609 K. Sivarajan (2009 Batch) who were killed when the roof of a textile shop collapsed on them while they were battling a fire in the early hours of Diwali day. Rs 10 lakh was given from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund and Rs 15 lakh was given from the government funds for the ‘sense of duty and sacrifice’ of both the firefighters. Tripathy IPS, Director of Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services DGP Thiru. M.S.Jaffar Sait IPS were also present at the event.
