Dolphin stranded at Marina taken back into sea

Fire and Rescue Services personnel on duty at the Marina beach on 02.01.2021, spotted a stranded dolphin and safely took it back into the waters. The commandos from Marina Beach Station who were on outpost duty for creating awareness for the Public Safety and for immediate response and rescue, saw a dolphin on the shore near Vivekanandhar Illam. As the mammal was alive, the team, without any delay, took it back into the waters. The dolphin swam into water after a short while.

The Director, Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services DGP Dr. C. Sylendra Babu IPS rewarded the team with cash reward of Rs.10,000.
