Fire Safety Drill at RGGGH

Every Year, 14th April is observed as National Fire Service Day, In memory of the firemen martyrs who lost their lives during The Bombay Dock Explosion On 14th April 1944. From 14th To 20th Of April, Fire Service Week is celebrated. 

As a part of the fire service week, fire mock drills, various awareness programmes, quiz competitions, workshops are being conducted at various occupancies including hospitals, government buildings, shopping malls, public places, schools, colleges and apartments for the entire week across Tamilnadu. 

DGP/Director of Fire And Rescue Services Mrs. Seema Agrawal IPS presided over a Fire Safety and Evacuation Mock Drill at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital on 17.04.2025 under the theme “Unite to ignite, A Fire-Safe India”. Fire personnel, firefighting and rescue vehicles, Bronto Skylift were engaged in the fire safety and rescue drill. Various methods of rescue operations using ropes, other equipment were demonstrated in the evacuation and rescue drill. Firefighting and Emergency Rescue Equipments were displayed during mockdrill. Around 100 fire fighters and officials participate in the mockdrill.
