State Sports and Duty Meet 2024

Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Department State Sports and Duty Meet were held from February 12th to 14th at Madurai Armed Reserve Ground.

About 200 sportspersons from 7 regions participated in various sports events which include Volleyball, Basketball, Athletics, Swimming and Departmental Events like, Squad Drill, Hose laying,  Rope Climing, Tactical Madley Relay and Ladder Drill. The sports meet concluded on 14th February 2025 following the Cultural programmes.

Northern Region won the overall championship title, followed by Southern Region and Central Region.

Director of Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services DGP Abhash Kumar IPS presented the trophy to the winners of the various competitions. Later, during his speech, he appreciated efforts of Fire & Rescue department personnel who risked their lives.

Madurai City Police Commissioner Mr. Lokanathan IPS along with several senior fire department officials were present on the occasion.
