Chief Minister inaugurates new Buildings and Vehicles

Honourable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Thiru. M. K. Stalin inaugurated new station and staff quarters buildings of Fire and Rescue Services Department constructed with a budget of Rs. 21.51 crores through Video conferencing and various Vehicles procured at the cost of Rs. 28.45 crores for the Fire and Rescue Services Department at the Secretariat on 29.03.2025.

45 staff quarters, 3 new buildings of stations & 1 new combined building of station with the District Office were constructed, featuring advanced infrastructure for firefighting and rescue operations. The Vehicles include 50 Mobile Tank Units, 10 Jeeps for Assistant District Officers and 50 Two Wheelers for Station Officers.

Top officials, including Chief Secretary Thiru. N. Muruganandam IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to Government (Home, Prohibition and Excise Department) Thiru. Dheeraj Kumar IAS,  Director General of Police and Head of Police Force (HoPF) Thiru. Shankar Jiwal IPS, Director of Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services DGP Thiru. Abhash Kumar IPS and Chairman and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation Limited DGP Thiru. Shailesh Kumar Yadav IPS were present during this inauguration function.

1.  Ambathur – Chennai Suburban District

 

Station Buildings:

1. Poombuhar – Nagapattinam District

2. Poonamallee – Chennai Suburban District

3.  Kadamalaikundu – Theni District

 

Staff Quarters:

1. Thuraipakkam – Chennai South District

2. Poombuhar – Nagapattinam District

3. Thuraiyur – Perambalur District

4. Ranipet – Ranipet District
