Inauguration of Salem Region

DGP / Director of Fire and rescue services Thiru Abhash Kumar IPS, inaugurated the new Regional Fire office in Salem on 22.06.2023. The new region has been created by separating Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri from Coimbatore Region with Salem as headquarters.

Salem Region was created as the sixth Region under Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services Department. After inaugurating the new region office, DGP / Director of Fire and rescue services Thiru Abhash Kumar IPS inspected the Suramangalam Fire Station at Salem District and received  the grievance petitions from the Officers and fire personnel.

Additional Director Mr. S. Vijaya Sekar, Joint director, Western region, Mr. G. Sathyanarayanan Deputy Director (Incharge), Salem and District Officers from Salem, Dharmapuri Districts were present during this event.
