Mrs. Seema Agrawal IPS taking charge

Senior IPS officer Mrs. Seema Agrawal has assumed charge as the Director General of Police (DGP)/Director of Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Department on 09.04.2025. She assumed this role following the retirement of her predecessor, DGP Abhash Kumar IPS, on March 31, 2025. Prior to this appointment, Mrs. Seema Agrawal served as the DGP of the Civil Supplies CID in Chennai.

Seema Agrawal, a 1990-batch IPS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, brings extensive experience to her new role, having previously held positions such as Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board.
