President’s Fire Service Medal for Gallantry to the martyr Mr. Rajkumar

Fire fighter R. Rajkumar of 2006 batch died of suffocation after rescuing 2 labourers who were trapped inside a newly dug 65 feet well at Selliampalayam in Perambalur district on 12th June 2020. For his dedicated service and Heroic act Government has recommended for President’s Fire Service Medal for Gallantry (2021).

The Honourable Minister of State for Home Affairs, Maharashtra has handed over the President’s Fire Service Medal for Gallantry (2021) to the wife of late Mr.R. Rajkumar at the Medal distribution function held at Nagpur on 17.4.2023.   

Following this, late Mr. R.Rajkumar’s family met the Director of Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services, DGP Mr. Abhash Kumar IPS at Chennai Directorate and expressed their sincere gratitude for all the support.  Additional Director (Operation & Training) Thiru. S. Vijayasekar, Deputy Director, Southern Region Thiru. N. Vijayakumar were present at the event.
