Third workshop on Hospital Fire safety through Webinar

As per the instructions of the Director of Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services, on behalf of the Northern Region, a webinar was conducted on the subject – “Hospital Fire Safety” on 25.05 2021. Authorities from around 200 hospital were participated in the webinar. This was the third such interaction with hospital authorities on Hospital Fire safety. 

Inaugural address was delivered by Additional Director (Operations and Training) Thiru. S. Vijayasekar. The Director of Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services, DGP Dr. C. Sylendra Babu IPS delivered a special keynote address, highlighting various measures taken by the Government / Department in providing fire safety measures in major hospitals / Covid care centers and also in creating awareness for hospital fire safety.

In this webinar, Thiru M. Namasivayam elucidated the participants on ”Case studies of hospital fires and best practices”. Thiru S. Gopakumar took the subject on ”Electrical safety in hospital buildings” and Thiru. Ravishankar explained ”Safe handling of oxygen and pressurized vessels”.

Tmt. N. Priya Ravichandran, Joint Director, Northern Region with the assistance of her technical team organized the entire event in an organized and successful manner.

Director of Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services gave direction to all JD/DD’s to conduct similar workshop on hospital fire safety in their respective regions and create awareness to all the stack holders.
